Frequently Asked Questions About Our Creative Studio and Creative Courses

Do I need talent or prior experience for the creative courses?

This is the most common question. The answer is: No, not at all. Our creative courses are designed so that beginners and advanced participants alike can enjoy them and achieve beautiful results.

Do I need to bring materials such as brushes, paints or clay?

No, you don’t have to think about anything. In our creative studio in Basel and Liestal, all materials are included in the price. We provide high-quality paints, canvases, clay, tools and kilns. You can simply arrive and start right away.

Do you offer creative courses at other locations as well?

Currently, we are located in Basel and Liestal. However, many of our participants also come from the surrounding areas because transport connections are very good.

Can I take my artwork home right after the course?

  • For painting and manga: Yes, you can take your work home immediately.

  • For pottery and ceramics: The clay must first dry and be fired. Your artworks are usually ready for collection after about 2–3 weeks. We will inform you as soon as they are finished.

Can I join the courses at any time?

Yes. Many of our offers are designed to allow flexible entry. Please check our current timetable for creative courses in Basel or Liestal to find the next available date.

Do you also offer events for closed groups (team events, bachelor/bachelorette parties)?

Yes, of course. Under “Team/Private Events” you will find our offers for companies, groups of friends or family celebrations. We create an individual program for your creative workshop – including catering if desired.

Are the courses also suitable for children?

Yes, we offer special programs for different age groups:

  • 6–8 years: Playful painting and crafting

  • 8–12 years: Playful painting and crafting

  • 12–15 years: Manga drawing and advanced techniques

You can find more information on our pages for painting courses for children or pottery for children.

Can I give a course as a gift?

Yes, a voucher for painting, crafting or pottery courses is an excellent gift for creative people.

In which language are the courses taught?

Our instructors support participants in German, English, Chinese and Russian. Art is a universal language, and we make sure you understand everything and feel comfortable.

What clothing should I wear to the course?

We provide aprons. However, comfortable clothing is recommended that can get a splash of paint or clay, especially in pottery or children’s painting courses.

Can I book just one single lesson (trial course)?

Yes, many of our creative courses can also be booked as individual sessions. This is ideal for gaining first impressions.

How can I reach the locations in Basel and Liestal?

  • Location Basel: Easily accessible by public transport (tram/bus). Parking is available in the blue zone.

  • Location Liestal: The studio is located directly at the train station. If you come by car, parking is not a problem: there are free parking spaces right next to the studio as well as a free underground garage.

How large are the groups in the courses?

We place great importance on a personal atmosphere. Group sizes are deliberately kept small so that our instructors have enough time to support each participant individually – regardless of experience level.

What happens if I have to cancel an appointment?

Please inform us as early as possible if you or your child become ill. In most cases, we can find a flexible solution so the course can be made up later. (Please note our terms and conditions when booking.)

I am left-handed – is that a problem for pottery or drawing?

No. Our experienced instructors adapt techniques individually. Whether hand-building pottery or working at the easel, the workspace is arranged accordingly.
