Our Creative Courses for Children

Clay is the perfect material for children. In our pottery course for kids, they shape funny figures, cups, or bowls. This trains fine motor skills and stimulates imagination.
🎨 Painting Course:
From the first brushstroke to their own artwork. In our painting course for children, we learn how to mix colors and create wonderful effects with acrylic or watercolor paints.
🖌️ Ceramic Design:
Does your child want to see results right away? In ceramic painting for children, they decorate ready-made pieces (plates, boxes, animal figures) with colorful paints. Easy for kids and beautifully creative.

From what age are creative courses for children suitable?
We offer programs for different age groups.

Craft & painting courses: usually suitable from age 6.

Manga drawing: because it requires more concentration, we recommend it from around 9–10 years old.

Pottery: ideal for children from about 6–7 years old. Please check the individual course description for the recommended age.
Does my child need prior experience or talent?
Not at all! Our motto is: Everyone is an artist. In our creative courses for children, it’s about enjoying the process, not perfection. We guide each step patiently so every child feels proud of their work.
Do I need to stay during the course as a parent?
No, not for regular courses. This is your time! You can drop off your child and go shopping or enjoy a coffee while we take care of everything. Exception: In our creative workshops with children (family events), parents and children create together.
What should children wear? (Will they get dirty?)
Where there is art, there are stains. We provide aprons and hand protection in the studio, but when working with clay or paint, accidents can happen. It’s best to dress your child in comfortable clothes that may get dirty.
Do we need to bring brushes, clay, or paints?
No, you don’t need to bring anything. All materials are included in the course fee. We use high-quality paints and tools so the results are truly beautiful.

Can children’s birthday parties be celebrated with you?
Yes, absolutely! If you are looking for birthday party ideas for children, you’ve come to the right place. We organize the entire creative activity (e.g., pottery or ceramic painting). You bring the cake, the kids have fun, and you have no mess at home.
Are trial lessons available?
Yes. We know that children’s interests can change. Before booking a full semester course (we offer 10- and 20-lesson packages), your child can attend a trial session to see if they enjoy the craft or painting class. Just contact us!
What happens if my child is sick and cannot attend?
That can always happen with children. Please inform us as early as possible (ideally 24 hours in advance). In our ongoing courses, we often try to arrange a make-up lesson in another group so the class is not lost. Just talk to us!
Can my child join an ongoing course at any time?
Yes, in most cases a “late entry” is possible as long as there is still a free spot at the easel or pottery wheel. You don’t have to wait for a new semester to start.
Can my child take the pottery artwork home immediately?
Not immediately. In pottery for children, they also learn patience. The clay must first dry and then go into our kiln (bisque firing & glaze firing). This usually takes about 2 to 3 weeks. We will notify you as soon as the masterpieces are ready for pickup! Paintings, of course, can be taken home immediately once dry.
Are the colors and materials safe?
Absolutely. We only use non-toxic paints and glazes that are specially suitable for children. Safety is our top priority.
How large are the groups?
We intentionally keep groups small (usually about 6 to 10 children). This ensures that each child receives individual attention – whether drawing manga or shaping clay. No one gets lost in the crowd.
What language is spoken in the courses?
We are very international! Our instructors speak German, English, Chinese, and Russian. This allows children from different cultures to feel comfortable and understand the instructions easily. No matter which language your child speaks – at Craft Room Red Fox, we find a shared path to creativity!
